Cicely Louise Tyson, Born December 19th 1924, in New York, NY. Cicely Tyson, was an American actress, that knew how to make the world smile. She was so talented. She received so many awards, including three Emmy Awards, a Tony Award and a Honorary Academy Award. Former president Barack Obama also honored Cicely Tyson with the presidential medal of freedom in 2016. Cicely Tyson, has also appeared in so many movies, including The Help, Diary Of A Mad Black Woman, Madea's family Reunion, Alex Cross, and A Fall From Grace. She has also appeared in so many other movies too.
She has also written a book, call Just As I Am : A Memoir. In 2016 she returned to Broadway in the revival of The Gin Game starring opposite James Earl Jones. In 2015, she was named the Kennedy center honoree.
